    This museum is connected to municipal Marine Park, which faces Iwanai port. It offers a glimpse at the worldview of Kinjiro Kida, who spent his life painting the natural beauty of Iwanai. Kida is one of the main representatives of Hokkaido's western art tradition. This museum exhibits several pieces demonstrating his dynamic touch, and the show is popular for how it demonstrates the love he felt for Iwanai. Beyond the exhibits, the facility also holds various events to bring guests closer to the nature and city of Iwanai, in collaboration with area facilities and community.

    入館料が600円になっていますが、JAF会員割引で500円でした。 地元出身である木田金次郎の作品とその歴史を味わえる小さな美術館です。ゆっくりと鑑賞できました。また、屋上の回廊からは360度全方向の景色を眺めることができました。 新型コロナ感染予防対策もきちんとされていて安心できます。

    "This art museum is located on a hill overlooking Iwanai on the Sea of Japan. The two buildings contain three museums and concert halls. This museum is famous for holding several engravings by Pablo Picasso, the father of Cubism. It has a collection of 267 pieces, including ""The Frugal Meal"" from his youth, to ""Erotica"" from his late period. The Picasso Museum displays 40 carefully selected pieces at all times, and is on the second and third floors of Hall 1. It's a perfect space to approach the view of Picasso's world, which is as enchanting today as it has ever been."

    恥ずかしながら、この画伯は知りませんでしたが、ニセコの案内誌で建物を見て行ってみたくなりました。 建物は環境にマッチした作りで素敵でした。 画家の作品も、世界的に評価されているようで、独特のシャープでエッジが効いた山関連のものが、好きになりました。 ショップで絵葉書を数枚買って帰りました。
