The beginner’s canoeing tour at around two hours long is popular with first-timers. As well as taking in the seasonal flowers and spring water of the lake you can also stop off at the island for a short break and tea time. Spectacular early morning tours with the beautiful morning mist and night tours under the moonlight are also very popular. They also do guided tours of Mt. Komagatake where from the summit you can see over the Tsugaru Peninsula. A definite must-see! The nearest station is Onuma Station.

A salmon fishing area on the Churui River in Shibetsu Town, Shibetsu County, Hokkaido Prefecture. This is the only river in Japan where salmon fishing is allowed, and that is only for the purpose of surveying salmon resources,, and visitors can enjoy fishing for salmon in the great outdoors of Shiretoko, an area registered as a World Heritage Site. Fishing here requires an advance application. Visitors can fish for chum salmon and pink salmon using lure fishing, fly fishing, or bait fishing; in principle, all fish caught must be released.

This equestrian facility is located along Nissho Pass (National Route 274) in Sasagawa, Shikaoi Town, Kato County. In addition to horseback riding lessons and introductory trekking experiences, the stable also offers trekking along a range of courses such as a riverside course, a mountain forest course, and a one-day course (reservation required). Several endurance rides, events in which riders on horseback compete to set the best time covering a long distance, are held in Shikaoi Town each year. The stable provides support for participants in these events.

The grounds serve as a course for local races, and they offer lessons as well, so they have a wide variety of services. The advanced courses offer a journey through trackless forest that surely offer views not normally seen.

This equestrian center is located in Shintoku Town, the fourth largest town in Japan. Visitors can challenge the horse trekking in Shintoku Town which is comparable to half the size of the Tokyo Metropolitan Area. This trekking course, which is open to sixth-grade children to 65-year-olds, is a wild course that you can walk in the forest of Sahoro following beast paths and fords. If visitors are lucky, they may encounter wild deer along the one-hour course. Children aged five to seven can ride on the back of a horse with a guide. There is also a farmers' cafe, so after enjoying the horse trekking, visitors can also buy puddings and cakes, as well as egg-topped rice, all made with eggs laid the very same day.

This is a guest Ranch specializing in horse trekking, and is located two hours by car from Sapporo half way to Hakodate. Visitors can overlook Lake Toya, Mt. Usu and Mt. Showa Shinzan, recognized as the first “World Geopark” in Japan, while enjoying horse trekking. There is also a family course for those with small children, and anyone can join if they can straddle a horse alone without being afraid.
