Daimon Yokocho Hakodate Hikari no Yatai is an alley located in the Daimon district in front of Hakodate Station. It is lined with 26 restaurants where diverse cuisine can be enjoyed, including ramen stores, seafood restaurants, sushi shops, and bars. Regular events are also held such as Daimon Bar offering one drink and one meal for a set price of 500 yen during certain times, and it can be seen bustling with many people. This is the Sapporo head office of Rokkatei, probably the most famous confectioner in Hokkaido. The building houses a shop, a cafe, a concert hall, and a gallery. You can purchase Rokkatei confectionery from the shop on the first floor, including their classic Marusei Butter Sandwich Cake, and the Marusei Ice Cream Sandwich Cake, amongst other things. Light food and desserts are served in the cafe on the second floor with the aromatic mugwort mochi (rice cake) and croissants being particularly popular. It’s a popular place to visit for tea or lunch as well as a great place to come and buy some souvenirs when sightseeing in Sapporo. The nearest station is Sapporo Station.

The Milk Workshop is a confectionary shop run by the Niseko Takahashi Dairy Farm. It sells confectionary that includes soft serve ice cream using fresh milk from the dairy farm directly next door and local 100% rice flour swiss rolls. The location is also attractive with a sense of openness from gazing at Mt. Yotei, which is a symbol of Niseko.

What a treat! Ice creams, cream puffs, cheese tarts are our favorite. Hokkaido milk products are just top-notch!

A Western confectionary shop located on the second floor of the New Chitose Airport domestic departures terminal building. The shop's Blue Honeysuckle Jewelry cookies, made with special Hokkaido blue honeysuckles, has been a beloved favorite since they were created in 1978. The White Mix version of the cookies is only sold at the New Chitose Airport location. Other popular selections which make great souvenirs include the gelatin made with Hokkaido fruit tomatoes, and the Tamago Manju buns made with eggs from Chitose.

A Japanese and Western confectionary shop located on the second floor of the New Chitose Airport domestic departures terminal building. Kitakaro sells select original sweets made with Hokkaido ingredients. The shop offers a wide variety of products sure to be loved by men and women, young and old, such as its signature Yosei no Mori baumkuchens and the Kaitaku Okaki snacks, popular with men. The Yumekaze-sen, a gooey choux creme served in a cup, is only sold at the New Chitose Airport location; this popular treat is so delicious, it's a frequent purchase of cabin attendants and airport staff as well. The shop has an eat-in space where you can enjoy a sweet right after you buy it or soft serve ice cream, sold only here.

Their cream puff is really the best. Very very generous with the cream filing. At 180yen... it is fantastic value and not to be missed when you are at Sapporo Dimaru or New Chitose Airport. Too bad...

A long-established coffee shop of the Meg Milk Snow Brand Group, located five minutes walk from the south exit of Sapporo Station. Known as ‘the’ place for Sapporo sweets, Snow Brand Parlor has over 30 kinds of desserts, such as parfait and ice cream, on its dessert menu. Their specialty is the huge Dream Jumbo Parfait which uses a mass of ingredients such as fruit, cake, baumkuchen and ice cream. Due to its massive size it’s popular among friends, families and students on school trips. The Royal Special, made with vanilla ice cream, is also a popular dessert, created when Emperor Showa visited Hokkaido. This sweets shop is located a ten-minute walk from Omachi tram stop. It is a popular store with visitors from with and outside Hokkaido, and the crepe, with a best before date of only 30 minutes, has been featured by the media. In March of 2016 this building was remodeled to become the Japanese confectionery Kitakaro's Main Shop in Sapporo. Originally called the Gyokei Memorial Hokkaido Public Library, it was built in 1926; it was later known as an art museum. The first floor is a shop designed on a salon theme. It displays the work of the painter Kotaro Migishi. The open atrium on the second floor features a cafe where guests can enjoy lunch and sweets while browsing among their roughly 6,000 books. Items only available at this shop include their classic chocolate cake and chocolate sandwich cookies; their croissant cream puffs are available in limited quantities. From the menu, their Kitakaro Jiman-no-Omurice rice omelets come recommended.

Lake Hill Farm is a gelato (Italian ice cream) shop started by dairy farmers in Toyako Town, Abuta County, Hokkaido. Behind the store is a large meadow and grazing pasture. Freshly squeezed milk is processed into gelato at the factory on the premises. Using only ingredients from Hokkaido and with minimal added additives, the 20 different kinds of gelato have a delicately light sweetness to them. You can take an enjoyable stroll through the flower garden, taking in the beautiful natural surroundings while you eat your ice cream. They also have a restaurant and store.

This long-established sweet shop located near JR Onuma Park Station was founded in 1905. It is the founder of the specialty of Onuma, “Onuma Dango Dumplings”, and began when the founders sold dumplings to tourists who would arrive on the train. There are three flavors: bean paste, sesame and soy sauce, and they are not on a skewer but in a folded box so they would be easy to eat even in the train. Even now the traditional taste continues, and it is a beloved representative of Onuma souvenirs.

This shop on the first floor of the Sapporo Odori Nishi 4 Building facing Odori street, and is run by Ishiya. It stocks a full range of Hokkaido's iconic sweets: Shiroi Koibito cookies, Mille-Feuille Mifuyu, and the Shiroi Baum baum kuchen, as well as chocolate and baked goods. The Ishiya Shop is the only place to offer sales of individual Shiroi Koibito cookies, which are normally only sold in sets. You can choose all you need for a variety of situations, so they're great not just for souvenirs but for special presents. They can also print your picture on the spot to create your own original Shiroi Koibito Can.

In addition to selling a wide variety of sweets such as cakes, Japanese sweets, and okaki (rice crackers), there’s also a coffee lounge and a gallery inside the shop. The confectioner which sells the Ohirune Pudding, a sweet that took first place in popularity contests at both Tokyo Dessert Republic and Purin Dendo 2006 held in Kobe. Their pudding is carefully made using ingredients from Hokkaido and ingredients are brought in from all over Hokkaido for testing. Their creamy smooth pudding is the pride of the shop and really expresses the flavor of their eggs. In addition to this location you can also find their products at their Toko branch in Toko 1-Jo 5-Chome as well as their online shop. Other popular menu items are their Asahikawa Souffle which melts in the mouth and their Angel's Smile creamy cheese tart.

旭川駅から車で15分くらい、北海道教育大学旭川校の近くですね。こじんまりしたお店ですが、こちらが本店なんですね。エチュードと言えば、お昼ねプリンが有名ですが、今回はケーキを頂きました。レアチーズケーキを頂きましたが、濃厚なクリームチーズにベリーのソースがマッチしてかなりの美味しさでした。次回は他のケーキも試してみたいです。

A western-style confectioner built around the concept of hospitality using Nordic hotels as a model. They offer sweets with safe, secure, gentle flavors nurtured by the climate of Hokkaido. Recommended is the shops Memorial Ring Baumkuchen cake, perfect for any sort of memorial setting. This is one of the shops finest products, made only from hand-selected top-quality flour and carefully baked layer by layer much like a tree grows its rings. It's characterized by its elegant fragrance and gentle texture and many people purchase it for celebrations or as gifts. Another popular product is their Cornetto pastry, a custard creme wrapped in a crispy pie pastry that can only be purchased at the shop.

Very expensive but clean and nice cakes at this shop. Good service, but almost no English here. Quite a walk from the station.
