Opened in 1975, this sandwich shop has been popular with the people of Sapporo for years. You can put together two kinds of filling from a choice of ten, each going perfectly well with the shop’s specially baked bread. Noted sandwiches on the menu are the red king crab salad sandwich with plenty of native Hokkaido crab packed inside. The shrimp cutlet sandwich with a piping hot deep fried taste is also really good. Inside, the shop is fitted out with retro style furniture making for an old style coffee shop kind of feel.

An Italian restaurant and cafe marked by a bright blue sign. Their menu includes pasta, pizza, steak, and Hamburg steaks carefully made with local Hokkaido ingredients. The shop specialty is their Magic Pot, a dish made in a Dutch oven. It's made without chemical seasonings so that you can enjoy the natural flavor of the ingredients and it's known to stay piping hot until the very last bite. In the back of the shop there's a play area where children can kick their shoes off so lots of customers come with their children.

This a local favourite for a fix of good Italian. Mr Shinze make a very good pizza, and decent range of pastas. I recommend the house salad too. Very reasonable prices. Simple and good.

"The farm-run cafe and restaurant stands out for its triangular wooden roof. The ranch focuses on low-stress raising, from meals to breeding environments, and they sell their fresh milk for all to enjoy right here. Their pure milk soft serve ice cream doesn't use any cream or butter, and they make sweets with low-sourness ""dedepopo"" yoghurt, made with only fresh milk, that soothe body and soul. Since they sell their products at the workshop even when the cafe is closed, you can stop by for cheese, milk, custard pudding, and more most any day. The open terrace lets you enjoy your meal in the company of the family dog!"

Was looking for a place around Biei where i can enjoy the freshness of the seasonal crops around and found this place. Their Pot-au-feu is the best. I ordered the set that comes with salad, rice, and...

    Hokkaido Chitose-shi Shikotsukonsen
This cafe, with its log house-style exterior, is easily spotted. It is the third store as one walks towards the Nakakoji visitor center, in Lake Shikotsu Onsen Shopping Street. Customers can relax and warm themselves inside the cafe, surrounded by the warmth of the wood-burning fireplace. The cafe's most popular item is a homemade pudding, which is also displayed on its shop sign. The large, palm-sized pudding is an exquisite confection with an ever so slightly firm elasticity and delicate sweetness. A wide variety of tea and coffee is also available, the warmth of which simply soaks into one's cold body. Customers can also enjoy a light snack such as toast.

    最初から、店主が怒っているかのような対応で、私たちのみの利用だったため、非常に居心地が悪かったです。常連さん向けで、最低限の笑顔は必要ではないかと思いますが、、、。珈琲が美味しかっただけに、とても残念です。

Not just a prefecture but an island of its own, Hokkaido is the most northerly prefecture and island of the Japanese archipelago. Arriving in Hokkaido, which is rural and bursting with breathtaking nature, means entering a world where vast national parks, towering mountains, and natural hot springs can be found at every turn. Come December, these natural splendors freeze over and morph into a winter wonderland.
