    A gallery which moved to its current location in 2014 selling crafts from the city of Hakodate in Hokkaido. The gallery building, built in 1935, carries an atmosphere which speaks of Hakodate's history and growth. In addition to conducting exhibitions of ceramics and dyed goods created by Hokkaido and other artists, the facility holds a variety of classes on crafts such as ceramics, tsumugiori weaving, flower pressing, and calligraphy. Depending on the day, rakugo comedic storytelling and other traditional performing arts as well as many other events are held here.

    Very nice collection of handmade textiles, crafts, jewelry, carvings, clothing, pottery. Very carefully curated by the owner. A must if you care about beautiful handmade traditional objects.

    This souvenir shop with a wide array of items is located on the second floor of New Chitose Airport's Domestic Terminal Building. They have everything from classic souvenirs like Marusei Bata Sando cream filled cookies and Shiroi Koibito cookies to limited Hokkaido versions of nationally famous confectionery brands like Pocky and Hi-Chew. Apart from sweets, they also offer ramen and soup curry from a locally famous shop, processed seafood products, and dairy products including cheese and butter. All of their souvenirs are quintessentially Hokkaido. There are also items from Asahiyama Zoo and goods depicting popular local characters.

The shop's primary product is the namesake SaShiSuSeSo, a popular soy sauce dispenser which doesn't drip created by Kitaichi Glass. Made with an integrated, carefully adjusted top, these soy sauce dispensers pour well and prevent unwanted excess dripping. The shop carries a wide variety of these dispensers, from reasonably-priced models perfect for taking home as a souvenir to high-class styles suitable for giving as a present for a special occasion. The shop also carries cute small dishes, chopstick rests, salt shakers, toothpick holders, and more; and souvenir hunters are sure to have fun just looking around.

    A Hokkaido souvenir shop located on Sakaimachidori Shopping Street in the center of Otaru. As well as Otaru, the shop has branches open in Sapporo and Hakodate too. All the branches have a wide selection of sweets and local sake from across Hokkaido, so it’s a great place to do all the souvenir shopping. All the classic confections like Shiroi Koibito, Rokkatei, Royce’, Jaga Pokkuru, and Hanabatake Bokujo are on sale. The shop has English and Chinese speaking staff making it easy for tourists to do their shopping. The stone exterior of the shop fits in nicely to the retro look of Otaru’s streets.

    MOOの中にある土産物店の一つでした。どの店舗も似たような売れ筋商品が並んでおり、同じ商品ならどこで購入しても同じようでした。因みに同店の陳列棚にはこぼれ落ちそうな程の商品が並んでおり目移りしたものの、バラマキ用に適した菓子類も沢山並んでいました。

    This souvenir shop is about a two-minute from Marimo no Sato Pier. The first floor has a wide variety of souvenirs, and on the second floor they have a cafe where you can enjoy dishes made with fresh Hokkaido ingredients. They stock the line of Herb Hill Furano original cosmetics, made with care using Furano's famous lavender. The manufacturers are strict in their careful selection of Japan-made ingredients, and the result is cosmetics that create vibrant, glittering skin. The shop also offers marine products and farmed marimo algae, as well as famous Akan sweets and wood carvings.

    20人くらいの団体でランチに利用しました。一階はお土産屋で上の階が食堂、広めの空間、テーブル席。料理はすでに決まっていたので、どんなメニューがあるのかは分かりません。ワカサギの天ぷら、ホタテのバター焼き、ホタテの炊き込みご飯などでした。普通でした。

The cute, fluffy looking marimo can be kept in regular tap water so they're very popular souvenirs. They say if you keep them out of direct sunlight and change the water once a week, they should grow about two millimeters a year. They also have a wide array of locally oriented character goods including Kewpie, Gachapin, Dakkochan and more.

    This is a fisheries cooperative in the Habomai district on the Nemuro Peninsula, the main island's easternmost point, facing the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Okhotsk. Here, they process and sell high grade Kaigarajima Saomae kombu kelp harvest from around Kaigara Island in the Northern Territories, one of the country's leading kelp beds. The cooperative's Habomai Hayani (fast boiling) Kombu, not only cooks up fast (as its name implies), but is also incredibly tender. Grown in the cold north sea with its strong currents, they say that once you try this kombu kelp, you'll never be satisfied with another. The cooperative's true pride rests on their Habomai Kombu soy sauce, packed with the kombu kelp savoriness. It's sold not only at their direct shop, but at department stores all over Japan.

A wide range of goods are available in the shop, imaged on the ice flow, such as processed agriculture and marine produce, sweets, souvenirs from Abashiri Prison, and the drift ice sightseeing boat 'Aurora' goods. Other available items include Ryuhyo (drift ice) draft, Abashiri's most popular locally made beer, Abashiri pudding made from Okhotsk Abashiri milk, Kumoya clams, canned milk, 'Okhotsk Monogatari' cute dry Japanese confectionery depicting Okhotsk.
