This yaki soba noodle shop was founded in 1957. Its “black” yaki soba is famous and has been featured on television and in magazines. It features thick noodles smothered in the shop’s original sauce. It’s dark and delicious, and the simple flavor accentuates the sweetness of the cabbage. Their “yaki manju” steamed yeast buns with miso-dare sauce are also popular. A takeout menu is available.

昔からあります。近くに祖父母の家があり新聞紙に包んだ熱々の真っ黒い焼きそばは遊びに行った時の定番でした。店内で食べたことはないのですがテイクアウトしています。今はプラスチックの容器におしゃれに入っています。甘めのちょっとあるキャベツが当たりのようで変わらない味は懐かしいです。

Located on the second floor of the Mosaic building in the Kobe Harborland umie mall a five-minute walk from JR Kobe Station or Kobe Municipal Subway Harborland Station, this official shop is a showroom operated by long standing snack company Calbee. Here customers can select from among four different flavors of potato chips, one of Calbee's staple products, and enjoy fresh chips straight out of the fryer. The Soy-sauce and Japanese-style Worcestershire sauce flavor, created with assistance from the Oliver Sauce company, can only be had here at the Kobe shop. The shop also offers other fresh made snacks like Poterico Salad, the most popular hot snack selection; as well as soft serve ice cream and drinks.

Hokkaido Abashirishi Kitahama No JR Kitahama Station

This restaurant is found within the station building of JR Kitahama Station and houses train seats and railroad-related accessories that were once used. The place has a somewhat nostalgic and peaceful charm to it. Said to be the closest station to the Sea of Okhotsk, from the window you can see the sea right before your eyes. Dishes with copious amounts of delicious seafood such as their charming scallop curry with a plate shaped like a scallop shell, and Okhotsk ramen with plenty of seafood, are popular here.

北浜駅にはたくさんのカメラ小僧がいて鬱陶しいですが、店内は落ち着いていてマスターも人の良さそうな方です。ホタテカレーが美味しかったと、隣の人が食べていたパフェが美味しそうでした。

Situated at the entrance to the pathways, the rest house is located right next to the Shiretoko Goko (five lake) bus stop, Shari Town, Shari County, Hokkaido. The shop sells mainly light snacks such as deer meat burgers, and French fries. Their specialty product is the blueberry and sweetbrier soft ice cream. The refreshing sweetness is popular with everyone. It is prohibited to take any food or drink on to the pathways. Closed from early November through to late April.

Visited in early June with family.Slight drizzle and cold weather probably around 5-10deg C...nice stop to buy sourvenirs before going on the Goko trails.

The owner of this yakisoba and okonomiyaki restaurant, located in the underground shopping arcade San Plaza in Chuo Ward, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, was brought up in Nagata Ward. It’s a famous restaurant for teppan-yaki dishes such as sobameshi (rice and soba noodles) and omusoba (soba noodle omelet) said to have originated in Kobe, and is often talked about in the media too. The signature dish is the bokkake soba-yaki (soba noodles with beef tendon and konjac), famous in Nagata. This downtown street food is a perfect blend of old-style thick noodles with carefully grilled beef tendon and konjac. Besides the classic okonomiyaki, the restaurant offers an American style menu including okonomiyaki sandwiched in a bun like a hamburger and pizza style okonomiyaki. This long-standing takoyaki (octopus dumpling) restaurant was founded in 1933 in Nishinari Ward, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. This place is said to be where the founder’s “radio-yaki,” which contained konjac (devil’s tongue) and beef, was invented, and this would become the foundation for “takoyaki.” The octopus is lightly grilled to keep it nice and soft, which brings out the delicious flavor. It’s said to be tasty even without sauce or when cold. There’s also the popular “negiyaki” (green onion pancake), rich with the taste of green onions, and suji konjac (devil’s tongue with sinewy meat). There is a space for eating in.

Koganest is a free rest area with a cafe in Koganezaki Park in Nishiizu Town, Kamo County, Shizuoka Prefecture. They also sell gifts such as the wonderfully created products created from the Nishiizu area. The cafe serves some special Nishiizu snacks like tokoroten (gelidium jelly made into thin strips and eaten with vinegar or syrup), soft ice cream and cake, etc. Especially popular is the large kakigori (shaved ice), shaped like Mt. Fuji and available only during the summer months. This magnificent looking dessert has stacks of shaved ice on top of ice cream and drizzled with Blue Hawaii syrup and condensed milk.
