    Tsurukameya Shokudo, a popular restaurant among tourists, serves its signature dish, tuna donburi, a bowl of rice topped with an abundance of tuna. 70-year-old Isamu Sato, who took over the restaurant, began buying tuna by the piece 10 years ago, and is particular about serving only the best parts of the tuna in raw form for his donburi dishes. The restaurant is highly regarded not only for its volume but also for its taste.

    Very fresh sashimi, no english menu. Just look around you and order the same thing as what Japanese order.

    This is a diner and souvenir store in Yamadera, Yamagata City. This diner serves geso tempura, cold soba noodles, sansai soba, takikomi mixed rice and a variety of combo soba meals, such as the basho-set and other rice bowl dishes. A menu especially for groups is available which includes local fish and vegetables dishes. One can buy seasonal fruit and sweets, microbrew jizake, pickles and other products at the adjoining shop. One of the most popular items is the sakuranbo ice cream made with local Yamagata cherries.

    山寺の帰りに寄りました。山寺は蕎麦が有名らしく他のお店も蕎麦を出しているところが多かったです。団体客も利用できるお店のようです。ランチ限定のメニューを注文しました。ボリュームのある蕎麦とゲソ天の組み合わせは最高でした。隣りのお土産屋ではマツコデラックスも絶賛したさくらんぼソフトが売っています。支払いはPayPayなどのバーコード決済が利用できます。

    This soba restaurant which opened in 1953 in the Shuzenji district of Shizuoka Prefecture’s Ito City operates out of a home with a pure Japanese appearance. It is a popular restaurant with lines forming at peak time. Their standard menu is Zendera-soba, based on the meal one eats after fasting during Buddhist training, and this comes with an entire piece of fresh wasabi complete with leaves still on that is sourced from a farm. With the menu that allows guests to try both Mori-soba and Tororo-soba, enjoy an exquisite taste with various flavors by adding yakumi condiments (grated or chopped topping such as daikon, wasabi, ginger, green onion, red pepper) and sansai (edible wild plants).

    古めのバイト?がなってない。横柄極まりない!天王寺のお店と大違い!西梅田、金輪際行くつもりはありません。前からおかしいなあとは思っていましたが、こんな、変な人が偉そうにできるお店があるんですね。下の人も可愛そうな対応をされていて、気分悪い。

    おすすめの小魚定食1000円をいただきました。カウンターの前に並んでいる総菜をお皿に盛って出していただきました。おばあさん手作りの瀬戸内海の小魚の佃煮?の盛り合わせという感じで、美味しかったけど、これで1000円というのは、鞆の浦でなければちょっと納得できないお値段なのが残念。でもいい雰囲気のお店です。

    This eatery is located near the Iya-no-Kazura Bashi vine bridge. Guests can enjoy their meal along with views of the Biwa Falls. They are famous for their handmade Iya soba noodles, which are notable for their high buckwheat flour content, their thickness, and for being easier to cut. The noodles are eaten in a bowl held in the hands like one would partake of ochazuke (tea and rice soup). The restaurant’s other tasty options include their salt-grilled amego (red-spotted masu trout) and sweetfish and their dekomawashi (a local dish of skewered potato and buckwheat dumplings).

    かずら橋を渡って、左奥に歩くと滝があります。滝を見ながら手打ち祖谷そばを食べました。焼きたてのあまごのとセットで、1000円!駐車場の返金300円もあり、美味しいしお得でした。

    This hidden gem of a diner is found in Ebisu. The front is all glass, giving the interior a bright, airy feeling, and you can see the photo book lined shelves from outside. The shop is a pillarless box-shaped room made of wood. The back of the shop is wide open. There are about 5,000 photo books on the shelves, the collection of photo editor Kotaro Iizawa, all of which are free to browse. The food here is unpretentious, with a varied menu of Japanese home-style cooking and healthy food using seasonal ingredients. Their daily special Seasonal One Soup Three Greens Lunch is a hit.

The restaurant also offers a full menu of rice dishes and prix fixe meals.
